Members
of Parliament also receive $13,500 for expenses, almost more than
the highest payed beneficiary total wage. |
Perception,
Perspective & Propaganda.
Not everyone can be a member of parliament, the fact is that some cannot
even get a decent paying job and others are incapable of any kind of
work at all, not all beneficiaries are "no good good for nothings",
in fact very few are, many are victims of circumstance, all cases are
qualified by Work and Income.
If the playing field were even and everyone had the same chance and
was as smart as you and the catch-cry of the fortunate "anyone
can be anything they want" were true, then you who criticize others
for their apparent failure, in all probability would not have your jobs!
Politicians free-ride on the back of our nation.
John Keys is essentially another coward attacking those with no voice,
power or money to defend themselves allocating those on welfare as burdens
on hard working people. I am surprised that the human rights commision
has not been on top of this type of slanderous propaganda.
Hang on a minute John, I know plenty of hard working beneficiaries,
do you think it is not hard work taking care of a disabled person 24hrs
a day, seven days a week and would you be happy to work at a rate of
$1.69 an hour?
Do you think it is an easy or luxurious lifestyle being on the dole?
anyone out there that likes to criticize beneficiaries and put them
all in the same box, I challenge you to go and trade lives with any
one of them and see if this imaginary life of luxury and laziness that
the politicians con you into believing exists.
Dear politicians, who are the ones you are talking about please name
them? and they live life on less than a tenth of what you get, how can
they possibly live a life of luxury on that amount? These ignorant attitudes
reminds me of the jerks that park in disabled zones, would they like
the disability to go with the parking space?
Getting other people to do the real work for you isn't exactly hard
or necessarily work either John, I suggest, no wait, I know! that you
are the high maintenance person you accuse them of being.
Aiming unfounded lies at a minority group of people is not only cowardly
but downright dishonest, sorry John your credibility with me has gone
out the window like your words - hot air. Thirteenth US President Coolidge
did the "entertain the celebs act and was still boring and ineffectual,
may you follow his footsteps into obscurity John. Who and how many people
did you exploit to get where you are today?
You politicians stand for the same old crap just different faces. I
thought perhaps the Maori Party might offer something more, you know,
Whanau, share the wealth type of thing, but no, they are proving to
be just a needy brown version of the needy white one.
What is it that happens to you "fired up seekers of truth and justice
for all defenders of the common man" after you hit the floors of
parliament? Do you all get a pill that turns people into self serving
egocentric sociopaths?
Where are your truly inspiring, good for all policies John, or any other
politician or political party for that matter? Non existant!
The policies you serve are no longer made to serve the public of New
Zealand they are designed to use the public of New Zealand.
I am not a betting person, however, I would wager that if we plucked
any dole recipient from their "luxurious life" and placed
them in any position in parliament, having explained their role and
duties, they would perform equally to, or better than, any politician
as long as politicians did not interfere with the person or the process.
The opportunities for welfare recipients are few and far between. If
you think they are inferior why don't you do the more noble thing and
help them get ahead rather than using them merely for your own political
gain? I have a sneaking suspicion that they would have a problem with
compromising their personal integrity if they took lessons from politicians.
One beneficiary uses less than a 10th of the resources allocated to
politicians own pockets.
Work & Income New Zealand has all the stops and checks in place
to minimize welfare abuse, where is the problem? They are however, often
deliberately evasive even to the point of lying by omission to beneficiaries
as to their entitlements, delays in payments further disadvantage the
beneficiary only to the advantage of the "government" like
the government is a person who can't afford to help those less fortunate
in our communities.
Just think, if you steal a dollar off every old age pensioner you could
have enough to pay the prime ministers salary!
If you took a dollar off all of those on the unemployment benefit you
would not have enough to pay one back benchers salary.
No stops or checks are followed concerning Politicians, unless one with
greater favour decides to attack another.
Now I ask you all, who are the greater burdens on our society? Politicians
alone cost New Zealanders over $15 million a year to say nothing of
the enterage of people employed to cater to each and every one them
and the superfluous employ of many other departments and administrators.
Have any of the political decisions over the past twenty years, by any
politician really made life better for any but a few who have little
conscience concerning exploiting others for their own ends?
11 Billion dollars surplus, Helen, shame on you and all of the Labour
Party, we Labour, you Party?
Since when was a government supposed to make a profit? isn't that up
to the people and business? Is it not, that any monies collected by
the government are supposed to be used to provide services and enhance
the lives of every citizen of this country? Pat yourself on the back
Mr Cullen when it is spent on making our communities prosper, prosperity
is not measured in how much is saved but how much is spent!
That smirk you wear Mr Cullen is it because you think you have done
a good job or is it because you now own so much of what used to belong
to the New Zealand public?
Do we see you buying back highly profitable state assets to increase
every New Zealanders equity and control in their own country?
No, we see more of New Zealand being sold off at bargain basement prices
to overseas interests, inflating prices to a point where the average
New Zealander is mortgaged into financial dependance.
Do we see this money spent on care in communities?
No, we see hospitals closing, we see hospitals deteriorating both in
condition and in service. We see $200 million committed to a vaccine
to aid Chiron to experiment on our children with no proven safety record.
Peter Hodgson, you are complicit in the deaths of at least 8 kids, and
what a pathetic bit of band aiding when the kids started dying, giving
out fruit in an attempt to boost the vitamin c levels in kids at risk,
too little too late!
Do we see better equipment in state schools, more teachers?
No, we see see closures, reductions in staff.a move to privatize schools
already bought and paid for by the citizens of New Zealand and run them
as businesses sold to the favoured few in the future once the parents
and taxpayers have payed to get them up to standard, and what are they
being taught? skills that will only give further support to a socially
damning corrupt system of government!
Do we see regulation of the over inflated housing market? or funds
being set up for those who will inevitiably pay the price as the pyramid
falls and mortgagee sales begin?
No. we see another con in the form of shared equity, condoned by our
politicians who seem quite happy to see New Zealanders chained in service
to mortgages, those ill informed enough to follow the trend and mortgage
themselves up to the hilt will pay the price. The overseas investor
con artists that started this are long gone, and you idiots missed it
.... or did you?
Do we see tax relief? do we see 7% flat across the board, abolition
of gst?
No. we even see gst being charged on gst
Do we see regulation on fuel companies or subsidies on fuel to reduce
business running costs?
No way! we see whimsical increases at the drop of a hat and never an
equal reduction based on the reduction in oil barrel prices as they
happen. The tax on fuel is supposed to be a "Road Tax", if
the price of fuel goes up this does not make the roads more expensive,
fuel tax should logically remain the same despite the fluctuation in
fuel price.
Do we see funding to directly identify children and parents at risk
of violence and provide relief both financially and psychologically
for these families?
No, we see resources wasted on mindless rhetoric that will establish
all parents as criminals if they smack their children.
Sue Bradfords smoke screen? or perhaps Sue is suffering from a lack
of practical ideas to address the problem of real violence inflicted
on some children.
I would like to know who put the idea in her head that making a law
would fix the problem in the first place! Perhaps she has forgotten
where she has come from and forgotten that others still struggle whilst
she gets an allowance to spend more on expenses alone than she used
to receive in a whole year as a sole parent.
Look at Swedens violent crime stats and tell me that anti-smacking works!
30 years of anti-smacking 65,000 violent crimes in 2006 and expected
to rise and they want to blame it on booze, of course that couldn't
be a problem concerning extreme child abuse here in NZ could it!
Who the hell are our politicians looking after? Spraying foray 48B
a concoction of live genetically modified bacterial spores, acid and
antifreeze on kids going to school in Auckland and even against the
manufacturers own warnings, in communities where flu and colds are present.
Jim Sutton you have a twisted set of values, surely it is best to err
on the side of caution when it comes to the health of our citizens as
they are a far more important asset than trees or apples! Jim Anderton
you do little more than continue the shame! Your credibility with us
now reads zero!
Politicians, put yourself in the shoes of those you intend to effect
before you make laws that will further exploit the trust they put in
you.
