How on earth do our politicians manage to get conned into spending public money on things like gardasil and now are poised to use another yet untested genetically modified vaccine from Merck Sharpe and Dohme

As of August 2007, a review of the US National Vaccine Information Center revealed the following, alarming, statistics about this unnecessary vaccine: 2,207 adverse reactions to Gardasil have been reported. Among them:

* 5 girls died
* 31 were considered life-threatening
* 1,385 required a visit to the emergency room
* 451 of the girls have not recovered as of July 2007
* 51 of the girls were disabled

Gardasil received the pharmaceutical industry's self appointed equivalent of the Nobel Prize, singing their own praises? blowing their own trumpet? The sole judges of how good they think they are, now isn't that a little one sided? They certainly have their dirty little bag of marketing tricks brimming all the way to the bank haven't they!

 

One has to ask if Dr Alison Roberts, Hazel Lewis, Dr Stewart Jessamine of Medsafe are on Merck's payrole, looking after pharmaceutical company interests as opposed to the public interest.
